BSL gallery talks

Melissa Mostyn leading the BSL tour of Azzedine AlaÏa: The Courturier at the Design Museum, September 2018.

Since 2004 I have led a variety of tours in BSL in major galleries and museums including V&A, The Wallace Collection, The Royal Academy of Arts, Tate and Modern Art Oxford. I see these as an opportunity to expand my critical thinking and understanding of art & design history and theory, thus enriching my art practice.

My most recent tour, Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturier, which took place at The Design Museum on 22nd September 2018, attracted the following comments:

‘Excellent talk’

‘What a tour it was. Melissa Mostyn was marvellous. Knowledgeable. Detailed. Clear. Passionate. She knew her subject well and presented it wonderfully. An asset to the whole experience. I have been on quite a number of BSL tours at various venues over the years and this was undoubtedly one of the best. Could we have more of her please?’

‘I enjoyed and learned a lot from Melissa Mostyn’s talk – well-researched, smoothly delivered and spontaneous content. Book her again for more Design Museum shows.’
