Synopsis: After failing to assert her Deaf identity to her hearing family as a 20-year-old, Jenny resolves to bring up her hearing daughter Annabel as part of the Deaf Community. Twenty-five years later, upon attending her grandmother’s 60th birthday party with Jenny, Annabel discovers that even she has her limits.

A family drama short, CODA was first broadcast on Film4 and the Community Channel in September 2011 as part of the BSLBT’s Zoom Deaf film-making scheme, having made its big-screen premiere at Wolverhampton’s Deaffest, and marked my debut as a film director and scriptwriter.
So far the festivals CODA has appeared in include New Delhi’s International Digital Film Festival, the second Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival, and the European Film Festival in Miami. It can also be viewed on Shortsphere.
