A popular six-week video diary strand presented by myself for BBC TV’s See Hear that explored pregnancy, labour and childbirth from a deaf first-timer’s perspective.
The Baby Diaries was not my first foray into broadcast journalism.
The previous year I produced a 50-minute documentary, The Salon Principle, directed by Samuel Dore, which looked into how deaf artists could be expected to contribute to Olympic and Paralympic Games that did not involve Deaflympians. It was never released.
